THE ORIGINS

Arahova is a picturesque village on the side of a mountain, located about 12 kilometers from Delphi on the road to Athens. The healthy and invigorating climate found at 980 meters above sea level makes Arahova an ideal refuge, from which it takes only five minutes to reach the archaeological sites of Delphi. The village prides itself on its excellent red wine and beautiful handmade fabrics. At Easter, the entire village celebrates with a festival featuring food, drinks, and dancing, as well as a fun footrace up the village hill, in which even elderly participants take part, while lambs roast on the spit in the courtyards.

Christos Kalogrias

Named after the founder's hometown village in Greece, Arahova made its debut in Montreal in 1971, becoming one of the first restaurants specializing in Greek cuisine. What started as a small café and snack bar created by Christos Kalogrias (the founder of Arahova Souvlaki restaurants) has evolved into a local landmark, regularly standing out in competitions and restaurant guides thanks to its souvlakis. What's the secret? Christos Kalogrias has always focused on quality, freshness, and consistency, which has helped Arahova become the renowned brand it is today.
